2017 Bargaining Approaching

Brothers and Sisters,

It's a been a tough year in the Mill. Local 592 is being challenged on all sides. On the shop floor, everyone wants to know- "What's happening with the new contract?"

The good news: Most of the other Unifor and PPWC Locals in the pulp and paper industry around the province have already accepted the Pattern Agreement, or at least agreed to it in principle.

More good news: Thanks to the hard work of our Wage Delegates, we are in an excellent bargaining position. We have strong ties, close communication, and solidarity with the other Catalyst Locals- both Unifor and PPWC- and some very experienced negotiators on our side. It's time for us- all the Mills, every Member- to stand together, and demand that we be treated fairly.

It was great to see so many of you at the last General Meeting, and I hope to see even more of you for the next meeting on October 18. 7pm at the Hansen Hall- be there!
